Karen is available for counselling, teaching, and speaking about counselling, the sufficiency of scripture, and related issues. </B></FONT></div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness</B></div> <div> <B>through our knowledge of Him who called us." 2 Peter 1:3</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><U>Karen</U></B><B> brings to counselling a Christian upbringing, constant involvement and leadership in the church from youth through adulthood, much biblical counselling education, a wide variety of helping and life experiences, and many years of specifically helping youth. Her passion, energy and diligence is clearly evident in past and present activity. Married since 1983, the Gauls presently reside in Stratford, Ontario.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Karen was raised in a Mennonite home where her parents taught her that the Word of God was sufficient and contained the answers to life. She believed the sufficency of scripture at an early age. Now Mrs. Gaul says "In a world that is so troubled and full of confusion and uncertainty, more than ever I believe that Biblical counselling is needed. I have always had a passion for those who are hurting, and being raised to believe the Word gives us all we need for life and godliness, I was frustrated because I didn't know how to make the truths of God's Word fit into the day to day struggles that we all face." Trusting God's promise that we can walk victoriously Karen has made wonderful discoveries over the years of continuing education and that together with many life experiences have shaped her and her counselling ministry. "I have a great desire to help believers walk with joy in Jesus!" Karen counts it a privilege to use the Word, the truth of the cross, much prayer, and the leading and enabling of the Holy Spirit in her own and other peoples' lives.</B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B><U>Formal Education & ...</U></B><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#666699" FACE="Arial" ><B> </B></FONT></div> <div> <B><U>One very busy lady meets Ron.</U></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Prior to being introduced to Biblical Counselling in September 1993 by way of the Wellspring introductory course </B><I><B>"Deep Change For Hurting People" </B></I><B>, Karen was very active in the local church. For 10 years she worked with youth. As one of the executive of a youth mission outreach / training ministry in Southern ontario, Karen became increasingly frustrated not knowing how to minister better to youth. "I could talk, cry, hug, pray with, and encourage the youth, but I didn't know how to help them stand up under trial." When God brought Ron into her life she was excited and overjoyed. Ron seemed able to take what she knew she believed and " make it relevant and practical for not only my life but those I touch". Following that she went to the June Institute in Philadelphia (Westminster Seminary's </B><I><B>CCEF:Christian Counselling & Education Foundation</B></I><B> where Ron received some of his training), then in the Fall took Ron's course again under the team teaching of Ron and his Wellspring trained colleague Doug Corriveau. Karen's 4th and 5th experiences with that </B><I><B>Deep Change</B></I><B> class were as an organizer and team teacher with Ron. By then she was simultaneously deep into </B><I><B>NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors: USA)</B></I><B> studies, pursuing certification. She continues to go to either their annual conference or the ones offered by CCEF. Karen is at present (2001) Level 1 NANC certified and keeps up with continuing education by reading, attending various day to week long conferences, staying current via the web and maintaining contact with NANC and other counsellors and agencies. She also took some counselling training at Trinity Theological Seminary in Indianna. </B><B>Spring 2002 she took Ron's </B></div> <div> <B>20 hour advanced seminar on Job, a course of particular challenge and joy to all involved. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>This life, therefore is not righteousness but growth in righteousness, not health but healing,</B></div> <div> <B>not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be but we are </B></div> <div> <B>growing toward it; the process is not yet finished but is ongoing; this is not the end but it is </B></div> <div> <B>the road. All does not yet gleam in glory but all is being purified."</B></div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>Dr. Martin Luther    </B></div> <bR> <div> <B><U>Other Angles and Glimpses</U></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Prior to her marriage, Karen worked in the social service world from 20-23 years old as a house mother. Besides counselling and counselling related study, she continues to lead Bible studies for women and recently put together a 5 week "All 4 Jesus Kids Klub". She has spoken to an area seminary graduating class, to pastors, at luncheons, church organized groups and such on counselling and related topics. She also taught a weekend workshop on "Human Behaviour". Karen also has many years of experience leading and helping with choir, worship team, and worship service planning.
