As you probably know Job is the only book in Scripture that is a “counselling case study,” and it is the most extensive counselling case study in Holy Writ as well! We will examine some very significant issues surrounding the “abuse” of Job by “biblical counsellors” (Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar), which we fall into at times. We will also view the amazing good things in those three, and to a greater extent the good controlling dynamics of the forerunner to God, Elihu, as he relates to Job. The perplexities of a messy case demands careful biblical insight! An extremely important issue is the heart of Job amidst his grievous trials and assaults.
